Fingerboarding arrived in France in the 2000s, with a few pioneers of the practice (Alexis Milan, to name just one) and of the industry (Damien Bernardet from Close-Up). We quickly saw the emergence of forums and communities.

Within these communities, we can mention the Petit Frère forum (PF, accessible on the Internet Archive latest, second version, and very first version), but there were others, on Facebook among others, and plenty of Skyblogs at the time. Archives of these communities still exist: Normand'hiver 2015 and the 96 events, video by Joaquim Mendez and our national Ralph Pernot!

And today?

A community still exists: a Discord launched in April 2024 by Aurélien (Haplos) gathers, at the time of writing, more than 250 members. This Discord allows French speakers to connect, and a map is even available to help riders find others nearby!

Some former members of the Petit Frère forum are still present.

To join the FBF Discord, it's simple: just follow this link, introduce yourself, and you will gain access to the entire forum!

See you soon!
